THE BRAIN, ADDICTION, AND FUTURE GENERATIONS

Drugs directly or indirectly target the brain's reward system by flooding neurosmitters with an extreme amount of  dopamine, producing a euphoric effect.

Our brains are hard-wired to remember and repeat activities that trigger our internal reward system.

Drugs physcially change our brains.

Drug use is no longer a choice.

These changes can be passed on to future generations.

These future generations can have a greater propensity of becoming addicts.
