If parents use alcohol, their children will probably follow and use that drug in much the same way. If a father was an alcoholic, his cchildren will have a predisposition to have an addiction to that drug.
Whether children are following an example or their brains are wired a certain way, how drugs are used by parents is passed on to the next generation.

What roles does family play in addiction predisposition?
We are all products of our parents. If parents have addiction struggles, chances are their children are more susceptible to addiction. That’s why drug addiction is more common in some families than in others.
